Forced to relocate from the most Southern tip of Louisiana by Hurricane Katrina, I now live on the outskirts of New Orleans with my husband, youngest daughter and her slew of pets.
I consider myself a tried and true Southern gal despite the fact I was actually born in California. My family moved to the Deep South when I was a toddler and I have been here since. For most of my life I have lived in South Louisiana. It’s where I met my high school sweetheart, now my husband of many wonderful years. He is Louisiana born and Louisiana grown having spent his boyhood on the romantic bayous of Lafitte.
Together we’ve raised four children. They are wonderful adults whom I am proud to know. Check out the band link for Evangeline Watch below. My son and his wife write, produce and do the vocals for this rising, talented group.
In my spare time (whenever I actually have it) I paint Louisiana wildlife and other southern scenes, work on my photography skills, enjoy music and cook up Louisiana favorites for my family.
I have a great love for fiction, especially historical as you will see when my full length novels are published. I’ve made up stories for years and have several projects in the fire that I hope to get published soon, but until then, I hope you’ll enjoy the short stories I’ve written. You’ll find them in the Highland Press Anthologies that are shown on this website. |
